Welcome to The Becoming Center! …where you take the next steps on the journey to becoming who you want to be. 

I used to be The Be Project. But as I looked at my life and how I have shown up, I became more and more aware that I am in a constant state of Becoming Me. I land every once in a while and anchor in a new version of “me”, like becoming a mom (ain’t that a deep dive?!?) but in general there is always a deepening of honoring my inner truth. 

Now, I know people say “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” or “People just don’t change.” Me personally? I just don’t buy it. Yes, you can. And yes, they do. My dog and I are proof. 😀 I will tell you though that it does take some focus. It does take a Path. A map is often helpful. And you will need some tools. And maybe some cheerleaders. And a guide.

That’s where I come in. 

I’ll be your guide. I’ll be your Coach.

Epectitus is a Greek Stoic Philosopher who is known to have said “First figure out who you would be. Then do what you need to do.”  

Let’s figure out who you want to become and let’s get it done.

You see, started easy. I would be someone who wore flowy pants. This was and still is my Truth. When I thought about who I would be, it started with me just showing up in the clothes that fit my desired image of myself. 

I would be a successful, confident, kind and loving woman. Who wears flowy pants.

So I went out and bought more. And I started wearing them. I had to buy a decorative utility belt to hold my phone because a lot of flowy pants don’t have pockets and I’m a mom. And moms need pockets! 😘Then I had to change my everyday shoes to match the flowy pants. I also bought some different shirts. The point here is that of course other steps became obvious. But it started with one change.

Flowy pants.

Check.

For me, doing this alone shifted my level of confidence. I was asking myself self-inquiry questions, testing my gut and following through. And this was the key to the map. Or at least one of them anyway.

The follow through. 

Super important. Like super duper. 

And for some people, quite challenging. 

And so again, this is why I am here. To hold you accountable. Circumstances change without your control. Changing YOURSELF? Well, you’re going to need to grab the reins a bit. Both of them with both hands. And you’ll need to develop your inner thigh leg adductor muscles too. And work your core and train your vision to look straight ahead. There will be steps. Even if the horse is you. Stubborn mules that we ourselves are. Haha! 😆

The point here of course is that we will break it down into actionable steps and you will need to be willing to commit yourself to success. You will need to be willing to coordinate your efforts to steady your horse/self and move in a desired direction. I’ll be here with you helping you shine your own light on the map. Let’s go!
